out-there[14 September-23 November 2008, Padiglione Italia, Venice] Out There: Architecture Beyond Building is the theme of this years 11th Venice Architecture Biennale directed by Aaron Betsky.

Together with 55 practices STEALTH has been invited to take part in the exhibition at the Giardini, in the Padiglione Italia. The section Experimental Architecture investigates new ways of making architecture and working on the contemporary urban reality. Experimental Architecture, curated by Emiliano Gandolfi, aims to define new possibilities for intervention, a new way of making architecture and imagining our future. The projects shown stretch the limits of architectural experimentation, pursuing a common shared imagery. The exhibition catalogue is available at the venue.

For this occasion STEALTH built a custom made installation under the title “Architecture Beyond the Comfort Zone” that re-interpretes part of the cardboard structure made for Cut for Purpose project and is accompanied by two video screening that follow the evolution of the project made previously in the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam. The installation is made possible by subsidy of The Netherlands Architecture Fund with HGIS support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Ministry of External Affairs of the Netherlands.
