bard[11 – 20 November 2008, BARD college, Curatorial studies program, Annandale-on-Hudson, NY] This semester we were invited to teach at CCS BARD, within the course on Spatial Practices: Space and Power. Within Spatial Practices artists, architects, urbanists, and other cultural producers are invited to address how the designed and built environment become involved in processes of violent conflict, informal reorganization and gentrification. Apart from a public lecture, our work served as a base for five sessions that addressed and discussed with a group of graduate students in curatorial studies the topics of: powers of architecture, fragmentation and urban emergence, space of endurance and unbuilding the modernist project.

The seminar followed previous input by Eyal Weizman, Tom Keenan and Apolonija Sustarsic, all invited by Maria Lind, the director of the graduate program at CCS BARD.
