tzv stambeno 2The inability of a large segment of the population in Serbia to come to adequate housing and even to maintain existing one, is important but ignored and neglected social issue. In order to change that, with WHO BUILDS THE CITY platform, we decided to gather fifteen initiatives from Serbia fighting for more just housing in the event titled the SO-CALLED HOUSING ISSUE at Cultural Center REX, Belgrade (22-24 October 2015). Through different formats, we will discuss the issues of evections, maintenance and management of apartment buildings, utility prices, organising of tenants, initiating self-organised housing construction, as well as a variety of strategic and tactical approaches these initiatives develop. The time is ripe to collectively bring back this important issue to the center of social interest and agreement!
