[28 March 2012, Museum of Applied Arts Belgrade] We have a nice surprise news. Nodos No#1, the extension of the cultural center CCDM in Medellín, has received the award for best foreign project at 34th Belgrade’s Salon of Architecture. The international jury was impressed by the Nodo’s “ability to find the appropriate programs and structural solutions, as well as their full implementation and realization, which contribute to improving levels of social and living conditions of the local community in the favela Moravia”, a neighborhood formed around a former garbage dump. The exhibition at the Museum of Applied Arts, which features the winning projects, is open until the 30th of April, 2012.
