[24 April, 2007, 19.00, Berlage Institute, Rotterdam] Debate with Ana Dzokic (Cofounder, Stealth), Silvia Forlati (Cofounder, Wonderland) and Felix Madrazo (Cofounder, Supersudaca), moderated by Roemer van Toorn. For more info and live stream, visit: http://www.berlage-institute.nl/

This event, the first in a new series of exchanges with Berlage Institute alumni, presents architecture and urban networks to explore how collaborative activism can empower a transnational discourse. This is the second debate related to Berlage Institute research. Ana Dzokic graduated from the Berlage Institute in 2000, Felix Madrazo in 2002 and Silvia Forlati in 1998.

Following three short lectures, some of the following questions will be posed in a dialogue format: Is transnationalism the new modus operandi for architects after the cult of the celebrity architect? Do the ideas of the local and the territory-as national identity-still play a role in our “flat” world? How would you position the role of the architect in society? Are you a rebel, pirate, or guerilla activist or do you opt for yet another idea of the architect as public intellectual?
