[4 July 2008, O3ON gallery, Belgrade] At the third Architecture Week in Belgrade STEALTH has presented the lecture Architectures of Endurance as part of the thematic block Netherlands in Belgrade.
This lecture explored three projects for larger cultural spaces. Exceptional is that these spaces are not meant to last ‘forever’, but are on purpose thought to serve their community of users just for a limited amount of time – from 10 weeks up to 10 years. The situation of having time, but no permanence pushes for an unconventional approach in which the capacities of architecture to test spaces, activate communities of users and facilitate new futures on-the-go are put central.
