madrid-abierto-web[5-8 February 2009, La Casa Encendida, Madrid] The program of public art MADRID ABIERTO initiated its sixth edition with the international seminar Urban Buddy Scheme in La Casa Encendida of Madrid. This edition of Madrid Abierto intends to investigate the possibilities of a work of social and cultural collaboration politically concerned, as well as to analyze the way in which this work can function as a driving force for change in the city. Also, it intends to activate processes witch shall integrate the new fields of knowledge within the already existing ones. Urban Buddy Scheme is organized around the presentation of the selected artists and other artists and architects involved in the already existing activities of the city.
